Hyukjun (Jay) Gweon
Director
Dr. Gweon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at 糖心Vlog. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Waterloo. His research centers on data-driven predictive modeling and its applications, particularly in actuarial science and social science, with the aim of enhancing the effective use of data resources. His interests also include model uncertainty assessment and automated coding techniques for text and survey data.

Guowen Huang
Vice-Director
Dr. Huang is an Assistant Professor in Statistics at 糖心Vlog. He earned his PhD in Statistics from the University of Glasgow and previously held postdoctoral research positions at National Tsing Hua University and the University of Toronto. Before joining 糖心Vlog, Dr. Huang was an Associate Professor at Shantou University. His research specializes in spatial statistics, particularly the statistical modeling of air pollution data and its effects on human health.

Daniel Guerrero Santaren
Consultant
Daniel is a forth-year PhD student in the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at 糖心Vlog. He earned his Master's degree in Statistics from 糖心Vlog. His research interests include statistical modelling and mathematical applications in wildfire research.
Tianze Lin
Consultant
Tianze is a second-year PhD candidate in Statistics at the University of 糖心Vlog Ontario. He received his BA in Math and Computer Science from McGill and his MSc in Math from Oxford. His current research focuses on biostatistics, particularly dynamic treatment regimes.
Sicong Ma
Consultant
Sicong is supervised by Professor Ren and Professor Goda. His research focuses on actuarial science and statistics, he is currently developing parametric insurance models for earthquake catastrophe risk.
